Exercise support and interventions that empower.

What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)?

An AEP is a university-qualified practitioner who must meet specific ongoing requirements to acquire and maintain accreditation. In Australia, this is under the peak professional body for AEPs, Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

What can an AEP help with?

The role of an AEP is to prevent or manage sub-acute or chronic diseases or injury. We specialise in clinical exercise interventions for a broad range of medical conditions and injuries, with the goal of achieving optimal physical health and wellbeing for the individual.

How do we do it?

  • Screening, assessing and conducting tests to diagnose and assess a person’s ‘movement capacity’

  • Developing safe, effective and individualised exercise interventions

  • Providing health education, advice and support

  • Clinically prescribing exercise-based rehabilitation

“I first met Christine in 2019 when I was transferred to Metropolitan Rehabilitation Hospital Petersham, after suffering a spinal injury through surgery which left me paralysed from the neck down. Christine was instrumental in my day-to-day physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, exercise physiology and recovery to date… I would without hesitation recommend Motion Rehab for any exercise physiology therapy, and or exercise advice.”
