Exercise support and interventions that empower.
What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)?
An AEP is a university-qualified practitioner who must meet specific ongoing requirements to acquire and maintain accreditation. In Australia, this is under the peak professional body for AEPs, Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
What can an AEP help with?
The role of an AEP is to prevent or manage sub-acute or chronic diseases or injury. We specialise in clinical exercise interventions for a broad range of medical conditions and injuries, with the goal of achieving optimal physical health and wellbeing for the individual.
How do we do it?
Screening, assessing and conducting tests to diagnose and assess a person’s ‘movement capacity’
Developing safe, effective and individualised exercise interventions
Providing health education, advice and support
Clinically prescribing exercise-based rehabilitation
“I first met Christine in 2019 when I was transferred to Metropolitan Rehabilitation Hospital Petersham, after suffering a spinal injury through surgery which left me paralysed from the neck down. Christine was instrumental in my day-to-day physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, exercise physiology and recovery to date… I would without hesitation recommend Motion Rehab for any exercise physiology therapy, and or exercise advice.”
